Symphony

Just another shot from our Zelda Symphony night.

You can kind of see some of the musicians.
I was impressed by the dress. Some people were more casual than I think was appropriate for the setting, but it was still a better looking crowd than showed up to Distant Worlds last year - also an amazing performance.

I'm going back to the land of no computers again, so this will be my last post for a bit. See you all again soon!

Zelda

For my birthday (which isn't actually for another week), Husband took me to the Nashville Symphony. It was a performance of Zelda music - The Symphony of the Goddesses. It was SO GOOD.

We dressed up all fancy!
We may have teared up at some points... It's not like we like video games and were reliving significant moments from childhood or anything.

Wine

This is the wine we drank! Sorry for the blurry picture. Again, exhausted and drinking!

Seriously, try some if you can, super delicious.
Aren't you proud of me? 2 posts in a day! It's like I'm back to normal! For... 3 days...

Anniversary Part 2

SO! I know it's been forever, but there's a good reason, I promise. Here we go.

Remember how I got a job? Well, with the start of the new year came the start of my job. And it KICKS ASS! I love it so much. Unfortunately, it means I had to move away from my husband, so we are again long distance. This sucks for me (though hopefully not for long, more on that later), but it's also relevant to you because, remember how my computer finally crapped out after I dropped it for the 8th time? Slight exaggeration, but it is indeed broken, and since I've moved I don't have access to another one. Other than at work, but of course I can't blog there because of how I'm working! God, I love having a job!

A benefit of said job, to make up for the fact that it forced me to move, is that since I'm earning money, I can buy a replacement computer soon! I hope it's soon. I do also have student loans, so we'll see. BUT! Eventually, and hopefully within a month or so, I will have a new laptop, Husband will be living with me again - and even better because we'll have our own place! - and I can blog on a regular basis. The only reason I'm able to do it today is because I'm visiting him for my birthday - which isn't actually for another week, but we decided to do it early for reasons I will post about tomorrow since I get to hang out with him the whole weekend. Yea!

Here's a photo of one of the last things we did together before I moved. We finally popped open a bottle of wine my parents brought back for us from Hawaii at the Volcano Winery! Not as fantastic as I remembered (since it had been sitting for a long time) but still a fun Anniversary treat!

We look exhausted because this was New Year's day after our big party, so we were, in fact, exhausted!
More later!

Anniversary

Look at you! Aren't you so lucky, you get two Smiles today! I'd say it's to make up for the lack of posting in the last week, but that would be a lie. Today is my 3 year anniversary! And I want to brag a little. "What?" you ask incredulously, "didn't you just get married a few months ago?" Yes, dear, but this is our dating anniversary, and therefore a more accurate representation of how long we've been together. THREE YEARS.

We started laughing when they took too long to get the photo
My God I love this man.

P.S. Happy New Year, my lovelies!

In-Law Christmas

I know it's been a bit longer than I promised since I'd post, but in addition to having various holiday/anniversary celebrations, I got sick! Hooray! But I'm feeling a little better now and loving my new job and my husband and just everything about life. So regular posting shall resume! Here's a Daily Smile to hold you over til then (tomorrow).

I celebrated my first Christmas with my in-laws and it was pretty fantastic. Here's a small taste.

Isn't in beautiful?
I'm so blessed to have a second family that loves me as much as they do. They are the most generous and welcoming people I think I have ever met. Hope you all had as Happy of Holidays as I did!
